About Us

The Rib Rendezvous sprang from an idea by Tony & Jess Hill, Head Honchos @ Seafari Adventures a 5-star marine wildlife adventure tour company based on Easdale Island in 2010.

It has grown into the largest RIB gathering in the UK with over 150 RIBS expected in 2026.

It is organised and run by a small group of volunteers, supported by incredible sponsors, event partners and lots of useful hands on the actual weekend!

  • It is FREE to register.

  • Oban is going to be a very busy place that that weekend, so please book early. There is a range of accommodation options. Please visit our “Accommodation” page for more info. Those who have stayed on Easdale in previous years who wish to do so again for 2026 - go for it!

  • Those taking part are responsible for the seaworthiness and safety of their own RIBs and passengers. Advice only is offered on routes and conditions. Participants must make their own decisions and are responsible for their own actions.

    WE ASK THAT RIBS TRAVEL IN GROUPS OF NO LESS THAN 3 RIBS

    WE ASK THAT YOUR RIB HAS A WORKING VHF RADIO AND A CHART PLOTTER WITH WEST COAST OF SCOTLAND CHART DATA

    WE ASK THAT LIFEJACKETS ARE ALWAYS WORN

    WE ASK THAT SKIPPERS WEAR A DEADMAN

    Dependant on the route, fuel may be available along the way. However, it is your responsibility to make sure you have sufficient fuel for the trip.
